Our Instructors

World changer, empath, loves Jesus, and gatherer of people, Jessica Mitchell started her yoga journey 20 years ago in search of soothing her aching body and over active mind. Initially, the stretches were reminiscent of her gymnast days and it felt natural to move her body in these familiar ways. Eventually her practice nurtured an emotional and spiritual void after experiencing a great loss in her pregnancy with her 4th child.

While having been a believer in Christ for many years, though devastated from her loss, Jessica found a deeper and more meaningful connection on her mat with the Lord in her healing. Since then, she surrendered to the calling of holding space for anyone who seeks to overcome deep seeded pain and heal from the many layers of trauma, stress, anxiety, and depression.

Jessica specializes in Holy Yoga, trauma sensitive yoga, yoga trapeze, and modifying postures to ensure yoga is accessible to everyBODY. She also has been a veteran volunteer and worked as the workforce development coordinator at the Salt and Light Coalition, a nonprofit serving trafficking and domestic violence survivors in Chicago.

As a secular and Christian faith-based instructor, Kim endeavors to guide her students through a practice that benefits body, mind and spirit. She encourages physical freedom through movement, clarity of mind through breathwork, and Divine connection through inspiration and periods of silence.

Her Holy Yoga classes include Scripture, prayer and worship songs woven into the physical yoga practice, and are an opportunity for students to grow in their intimate relationship with God the Father, His Son Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.

Arriving to all of her classes with sincerity, humor, imperfection and a Jesus-loving heart, her hope is that her students feel free to do the same! Kim’s practices are a time for students to do their best when they can and simply show up when they cannot.

Kim has over 2000 hours of teaching experience and we are honored she is sharing her gifts with us.

Samantha has a diverse background in communications and marketing. She spent the last 6 years working in market research when she realized her heart was pulling her towards a career change.

Samantha has been doing yoga for many years, but became consistent in her practice back in 2015 when she was struggling with anxiety, mental health and body image issues. She found solace on her mat and quickly realized the inward reflection and somatic release that yoga provides, is an invaluable tool to coping with the daily stressors in life.

Samantha completed her Holy Yoga teacher training certification at the end of January 2024 through Living Divina, and is excited to continue to learn and grow as an instructor under the mentorship of Jessica.
